Determination Of Blood Type:

Basically, blood types are determined by genetics, Because you inherit genes from your parents. To create a pair one from your mother and another from your father.

ABO System:

At the time when it comes to blood type, you need to inherit an A antigen from one parent and a B antigen from the other parent. which is resulting in the AB blood type. And also you need to get B antigens from the both parents giving you a BB or a B, Blood type. On the other hand type O, Which doesn’t consists of any type of antigens and also has no effect on A type and B type blood, Which means at the time when you inherit an O from your mother and A from your father. such as your blood group will be A. And there is also a another possible is that two people with type A or type B blood can have the baby with type O blood, at the time when they carry the O antigen. For example when the parents with AO blood could each pass the O antigen on to their child, to create OO blood. Generally they are six of these combinations they are ( AA, BB, AB, AO, BO, OO). Which is known as genotypes. The four blood types which are stem from these genotypes are (A, B, AB, and O).

Rh Factor:

Blood is used to typed according to something which is called the Rh factor. This is an another antigen which is used to found on red blood cells. At the time when the cells have antigen, Then they are considered as Rh positive. If in case they don’t have it then they are considered it as Rh-positive. When they don’t have it, then they are considered as Rh- negative. Based on the whether the Rh antigen is present, So that each blood type is assigned as a positive or a negative symbol.
